OUR PROCESS
Every step is guided by care, expertise, and respect for nature.

01 Tea Fields
Our journey begins in Japan’s premier tea-growing regions, where plants are cultivated with patience—nurtured by nutrient-rich soil, pure mountain water, ideal climates, and dedicated seasonal care long before the harvest.

02 Shade Grown
Before harvest, the tea plants are shaded to naturally develop richer umami, gentle sweetness, and their vibrant green color.

03 Harvest
At peak freshness, only the softest, youngest tea leaves are hand-gathered in small batches to capture the delicate aroma and pristine flavor of the season’s first flush.

04 Quality Selection
Before processing, the harvest undergoes rigorous inspection. Only leaves that meet our exacting standards for color, balance, and character are chosen to become RINSUI matcha.

05 Steaming
Fresh leaves are steamed shortly after harvest to preserve their vibrant color, delicate aroma, and fresh character before drying.

06 Final Milling
After careful processing, the selected tencha are milled into an exceptionally fine powder. This final step helps preserve the matcha’s vibrant color, delicate aroma, and signature smooth mouthfeel.
